Spinaches are ready to be collected in a beautiful tropical island and only Popeye can get the job done. In this game, our spinach lovin' hero must collect all fifteen Spinaches while dodging the Bluto's sinister wrath to win the game.

Since Popeye is my favorite cartoon character, it seemed like a perfect fit for the game. Creating the map in Tiled and getting my creative juices flowing was fun, and exploring examples on itch.io really helped me come up with a perfect layout. Thanks to class recordings, I was able to handle the JavaScript side easily. It may not be the best popeye-inspired game out there, but it's got enough Spinaches to make Bluto jealous and Olive Oyl proud!
